Город, в который хочется возвращаться/ Futuristic city

     Это город от которого захватывает дух! Город, который потрясает, восхищает, удивляет, который сочетает в себе два столь разных мира, создавая при этом свой собственный, другой, лучший….
     Сочетание «каменные джунгли» отнюдь не фигурально  для Гонконга. Небоскребы взмывают вверх под самое небо что кажется, еще вот-вот и их крыши будут прорезать облака. Это самый высокий город в мире. И самый один из самых дорогих, дороговизна земельных участков -  вот чем объясняется необходимость строить столь высокие дома.
     Гонконг - это город высоких технологий, больших возможностей, больших надежд, больших денег и еще больших трат. 

This city makes your heart beats heavily and takes your breath away. It fascinates surprises and shocks you at the same time. Two different worlds meet here, creating better one…

The expression “concrete jungle” does not carry the figurative meaning for the Hong Kong. The skyscrapers almost touch the clouds. Hong Kong is the highest city in the world, and one of the most expensive as well. The high price for the real estate is the main reason for high-rise-buildings construction. 

Hong Kong is the city of high-technology, ample opportunities, great expectations and big spending.

    Огромнейшей мегаполис, который живет в таком бешеном ритме, что нужно или приспосабливаться к нему, или этот город вас не примет. Глядя на снующую толпу, на бесконечные потоки машин получаешь столь мощный заряд энергии, что силы берутся из ниоткуда и хочется все изучать и изучать этот удивительный  город.

     Некоторые улицы так плотно застроены, что солнце можно увидеть здесь лишь в зеркальном отражении высоток, кругом пестрят вывески магазинов и ресторанов, но постепенно небоскребы расступаются, и выходим к набережной.  Здесь вкусно пахнет морем и кофе из ближайших кафе, легкий ветерок играет в волосах, кто-то занимается спортом, кто-то рыбачит (чем немало удивляет), кто фотографирует многочисленные небоскребы на фоне зеленых холмов и себя на их фоне, а кто-то просто неспешно гуляет, наслаждаясь беспечностью. Здесь же находится так называемая Авеню Звезд. Это дань уважения многочисленным талантам прославленной гонконгской киноиндустрии. Здесь можно найти юбилейные таблички, отпечатки ладоней знаменитостей, описания важных вех гонконгского кино, киоски с сувенирами киноиндустрии, возвышающуюся статуэтку Гонконгской кинопремии и статую легендарной звезды боевиков кун-фу Брюса Ли в натуральную величину. 

Hong Kong is the city of high-technology, ample opportunities, great expectations and big spending.

Huge megalopolis is living in so mad rhythm that you should adapt to it or you can never love this city. Looking at crowds of people and streams of cars you get so powerful energy charge that you get forces for discovering this wonderful city from nowhere.

Some streets are so densely built-over that you can see the sun just in the mirror walls of the buildings. But the skyscrapers make way to the sea - it is the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and the Avenue of Stars. The wonderful smell of coffee from the nearest café is filling the air, the wind is playing with hair. Somebody is taking exercises, somebody is fishing (that causes real surprise), somebody is taking photos of numerous skyscrapers on the background of the green hills or taking photos of oneself on the background of the skyscrapers, somebody is just walking along the quay enjoying the nonchalance. Here there is so called the Avenue of Stars. This is tribute to outstanding professionals of Hong Kong's film industry. Entering from Salisbury Garden, a 4.5-metre-tall replica of the statuette given to winners at the Hong Kong Film Awards greets visitors. Along the 440-metre promenade, the story of Hong Kong's one hundred years of cinematic history is told through inscriptions printed on nine red pillars. Set into the promenade are plaques honouring the celebrities. Some plaques contain hand prints and autographs of the stars set in cement, but most of the plaques only contain celebrities' names as they are now deceased. A 2.5-metre bronze statue of Bruce Lee attracts lots of tourists.

 

     А когда на город опускается ночь, и он раскрашивается другими красками, загораясь миллиардами неоновых огней, начинается шоу “Симфония Огней”, которое разворачивается перед Гаванью Виктория. Само шоу далеко не оправдывает данное ему описание как «потрясающий, незабываемый спектакль», но ночной Гонконг очаровывает. Медленно перекатываются разноцветные волны залива, отражающие в себе огни большого города, не нужно никуда спешить, сейчас царят праздность и беспечность, а это ли не счастье? 

 

When the night covers the city, and colourful neon lights illuminate it, the show “Symphony of lights” begins.  The show doesn’t so fascinating, as it is written in the guidebooks, but the night Hong Kong is fantastic!

 Глядя на высоченные небоскребы снизу вверх, постоянно замираешь в немом восхищении - как величественен этот город! Но на небоскребы можно посмотреть не только снизу. Пик Виктории  - самая высокая точка города. Поднявшись на старинном английском фуникулере, выходим на смотровую площадку и замираем. Такой огромный снизу, отсюда, с высоты 554 метра над уровнем моря, город кажется на удивление компактным. Хочется стоять и рассматривать-рассматривать его додетально! Смотришь на этот современнейший мегаполис, затерявшийся среди зеленых холмов и поражаешься чуду человеческой мысли. Город, у которого нет никаких своих природных ресурсов, настолько грамотно научился управлять ресурсами человеческими, что сейчас Гонконг является одним из самым развитым финансовых рынков мира с самой свободной экономикой. 

Looking at the skyscrapers bottom-up you are admiring the greatness of the city. But you can look at the skyscrapers not only from the bottom. Victoria Peak is the highest point of the city. The  Peak Tram funicular gets you to the Peak Tower and the view takes your breath away.  

The enormous city seems to be so compact from 554-meter height. You just want to stand and to contemplate it in detail. Looking at this huge megalopolis hiding among green hills you are amazing the strength of human intelligence. The city that doesn’t have any natural recourses managed to rule the human recourses so wise that nowadays Hong Kong is one on the most developed global financial markets. 

        В Гонконге есть место не только для жесткой конкуренции рынка, пылкой экономической борьбы и высоких технологий, здесь свято соблюдают древние традиции и чтят многовековую культуру.  

Sik Sik Yen Wong Tai Sin (Wong Tai Sin) удивительный островок древнейшей культуры на фоне современных высотных зданий жилого квартала. Храм богато украшен резьбой, красочными скульптурами, в прудах мирно плавают золотые рыбки и черепахи, а в воздухе плывет дым от тлеющих благовонных палочек.
     Вонг-Тай-Син слыл целителем – чудотворцем, провидел будущее, был очень любим народом и после смерти почитается почти как бог. Гонконгцы посещают храм пастуха Вонг-Тай-Сина, чтобы попросить у него исцеления и заглянуть в будущее. 

  You can find in Hong Kong not only the severe business competition, the fierce economic struggle and the high technologies, but also the ancient traditions and the centuries-old culture.

Sik Sik Yen Wong Tai Sin (Wong Tai Sin) is the wonderful island of ancient culture among modern high-rise-buildings constructions. The temple is rich in ornament, and the whole territory is very beautiful. The golden fish and tortillas are rowing in the ponds and the smoke of shouldering joss stick is floating in the air. Wong Tai Sin was a faith healer, a wonder-worker and a visionist, people love him and after his death he is worshiped like a God.  Hongkongeses visit the temple to ask for healing and to take a look into the future.   

А если Вы думаете, что знаете все о буддийских храмах и монастырях, то стоит посетить Монастырь Десяти тысяч Будд который вызовет неподдельное восхищение даже у самых искушенных туристов. Преодолев по крутой лестнице, все 400 с лишним степеней к монастырю, открывается зрелище, которое меняет все представления о Будде. Тысячи статуй Будд, застывших в различных позах и с различными выражениями на лице. Гнев и страх, удивление и восторг, умиротворение и негодование. Все статуи уникальны! Нет ни одной повторяющейся. Монастырь носит имя Десяти Тысяч Будд так, как это число в Китае означает не ровное количество, а великое множество, поэтому название как нельзя лучше отражает замысел монахов.

If you think that you know everything about the Buddha monastery, you should visit Ten thousands Buddhas monastery, that makes even tempted tourist admire.  Having stepped, more than 400 stairs you will see something that changes your notion about Buddha -thousands of Buddha’s statues in different poses and with different facial expressions. Anger and fear, surprise and admiration, appeasement and indignation.  Each statue is unique! The temple has the title of Ten thousands Buddhas, as its number means abandancy, so the title shows the conception of monks very good. 

Ступив на тропу туристических маршрутов, стоит посетить и еще одного Будду.  Одна из главных достопримечательностей Гонконга  - это статуя Большого Будды, который умиротворенно восседает на горном плато Нгонг Пинг, посреди живописного горного ландшафта острова Лантау, символизируя гармонию отношений между человеком и природой, между людьми и религией. И примечателен, наверное, даже не сам Будда, а то, что путь к нему это уже целое путешествие.

Choosing the tour itinerary you should visit one more Buddha - the Big Buddha. Widely touted as one of the most significant Lantau tourist spots, Tian Tan Buddha takes visitors on a sacred land tour of enlightenment. It is the world’s largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha statue and sits calmly next to Po Lin Monastery. The easiest way to reach the Buddha is through the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, which takes merely 25 minutes and allows visitors to breathe in the beautiful scenery along the journey. Visitors can also choose to walk along the Ngong Ping trail.

268 steps  are leading to the world’s largest outdoor bronze seated Buddha - Tian Tan Buddha, which symbolises Sakyamuni, who meditated deeply under the Bodhi tree and attained enlightenment and awakening to true reality. Walking up the steps, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Lantau and the South China Sea from the podium. The huge statue body is a breathtaking sight, and the kind smile on his face instills a sense of peacefulness.

И если с Disneyland'ом все понятно, то Ocean park - это зоопарк, океанариум и парк развлечений в одном месте! Медузы и экзотические рыбки, акулы и моржи, пингвины и морские львы, гигантские панды и малые красные панды, попугаи и обезьяны, американские горки, сплав на плотах по бурной речке, колесо обозрения и еще множество щекочущих нервы развлечений ждут детей и взрослых. 

Someone who likes the more active entertainments should choose the Disneyland or the Ocean Park! If the Disneyland is well-known, the Ocean Park is a mixture of is a marine mammal park, oceanarium, animal theme park and amusement park. The theme park currently has a wide array of attractions and rides, including 4 roller coasters, and also animal exhibits with different themes, such as a giant panda habitat, a jelly fish and Chinese sturgeon aquarium, as well as a world-class aquarium featuring the world's largest aquarium dome which displays more than 5,000 fish.

 А устав от городского шума и толп народа, от бесконечных очередей к билетным кассам, ведущим к очередному месту паломничества туристов, выход один - отправиться на побережье.  Просторы пляжей острова Лантау, уютные маленькие бухточки новых территорий или шикарный благоустроенный пляж в районе Стэнли, именуемый Азиатской Ривьерой - выбор велик, а Южно-Китайское море неизменно теплое и приветливое, солнце жаркое, а в знойном воздухе витает запах кокосового масла и свободы. 
 

Getting tired of the big city fuss,  of the endless queues to the ticket offices, you have one way - to go to the seaside. Wide beaches of Lantau Island, small cozy bays of new territories or wonderful Stenley beach called Asian Riviere - everything at your option.

 Находясь в Гонконге, очень сложно понимать умом, что территориально находишься в Китае. Очень некитайский город, очень не по-китайски вежливые и по-европейски культурные люди, сказываются 155 лет нахождения под властью Великобритании. Кухня  здесь многонациональна, так же как речь на улицах и вывески на зданиях - смесь культур, историй и времен. 

  Гонконг - это не просто город, это целый мир, удивительно комфортный для жизни. Это город, в который хочется возвращаться, город, который невозможно не полюбить! Футуристический город, который, вероятно, писатели-фантасты описывали, говоря о будущем, которое стало реальностью. 
 

Staying in Hong Kong it is very difficult to realize that territory you are in China. This city is “not Chinese”. 155 years under the reign of Great Britain took its toll. Here you can see everywhere the mixture of cultures: multinational cuisine, speech in the streets and signs on the buildings.  

Hong Kong is not just the city, it’s the whole world. It’s the city where you’d like to come back. It’s impossible not to fall in love in Hong Kong!
